One plus was that it automatically gets brighter or darker based on the lighting in the room. A very nice feature. You can watch the movie in a lighted room. I have not taken it outside for daylight…so we cannot comment on that. We purchased a Da-Lite Movie screen –portable and are very happy with that. Given that movies are wide, consider that when purchasing a screen. Epson MovieMate 60 Portable Projector does have aspect options which is a nice feature. I do feel that Epson MovieMate 60 Portable Projector is well priced and very nice quality for the amount.
As the previous commentor suggested, we did purchase karaoke dvds and you can purchase an adapter for Epson MovieMate 60 Portable Projector to allow more than one microphone. I am a teacher as well, and it is an excellent way to have kids practice reading. My first grader loves it. They even sell nursery rhyme dvds. We also like to play dvd games on Epson MovieMate 60 Portable Projector.
Side note–if you do have kids consider putting on closed captioning because they will read the words.

The projector is really earning the nickname BU ULTRABlack performance. The 8500UB is extremely low dispersion of light in the dark while being able to capture the finest details in scenes scenes of Stark. I saw two films on the projector. The first was a colorful Disney film “UP” after it was dark horror film called Shiver. I told them projected on a semi-gloss white wall, at midnight, when there was a hint of windows, because of the light that surrounds business (I live in a converted factory). The image was sunk 15 ‘(diagonal or 180 “). The image background was about 4′ of land.

This is a wonderful all-in-one projector. Great intuitive controls, fantastic sound (especially with a subwoofer Epson’s), great picture quality with upconverting DVD player. For the first time, the image seems a bit ‘dark (lamp is rated 1200 + lumens), but we understand the brightness control on the distance, and is more than enough (four levels) for most situations. The enclosed CD. Manual answer our questions when we otherwise no-brainer guide. IDo not print this guide extended, but can get what I need to know my computer in rare cases where it is not clear from the beautiful design of this projector
